Dear Invisible Girl,
I know you are not invisible, but sometimes we can create a wall that blocks the real person we are from the rest of the world. We can hide or play the game and say all the right things we have been trained to do because we want to please everyone. I am talking to that girl you are when no one else is there – the girl deep inside of you no one else can see. While you may have thoughts, feelings, and experiences that reside deep within – it’s all working to create you.
It’s important to seek wise counsel and have a safe person to talk to.
To the girl that is buried under all of the criticisms, pressure, perfection, fear, insecurities, lack of confidence, disappointments, failures, or that desire to fit in or be seen – I am talking to you! I found you – you are NOT invisible. There is a God who created you, longs for a relationship with you, loves you with security and faithfulness, and He has given His life for you. Please do not try to coast through your young adult years without including Him. He wants to be your Father, Lover of your soul, Savior, Husband, and Best Friend. You are not alone. He wants to know what you’re really thinking and what you’re really feeling. He wants to teach you who He is so He can build you to be transformed in your heart and mind so you reach your fullest potential in this life in the design He destined you to be.
As I continue to get older and learn – there are so many experiences, life lessons, and educational pieces that lead to transformation I wish I could tell the younger me. I hope, in this journey – to share with you, encourage you, strengthen you, challenge you, equip you, and support you with intentions of leading you to growth and learning curves.
Cheers to you Past, Present, and Future – He was, and is, and will be. He is the author and finisher of your faith.
The Journey Begins!
