Did you know God knows exactly how much hair is on your head?
Luke 12:7 NASB 7 But even the hairs of your head are all counted. Do not fear; you are more valuable than a great number of sparrows.
Think about someone you consider to be close to you. Do you know how many strands of hair are on their head? Goodness, do you know how many strands are on your head?
Of course you don’t! But He does!
That’s how much God knows you. He knows everything about you. He knows you better than you know yourself.
Take it a step further, that means He knows all of your accomplishments and failures, He knows your secrets, He knows your hurts and joy, He knows your strengths and weaknesses, He knows all of your fears, He knows all of your questions, He knows all of your concerns, He knows where you’ve been in life, and He knows where you’re going.
You are not meant to walk this road alone. Trust and believe He has a plan for you.
In this life you can experience God as a Father, Husband, Savior, Provider, Healer, Teacher, Comforter, Counselor, Deliverer, Guiding Light, The Truth, The Way, and The Life.
He may not give you everything you want, when you want it, or how you want it, but He will give you what you need and He’s always on time.
A journey with Him means He will walk with you and teach you His ways, so you can shed your old ways of thinking and doing things. You will start to reflect His image and a light to others in darkness.
You learn who He is whether you are having good times or bad times. He never said this life would be easy. It can feel like an obstacle course, but the obstacle is just what you need to experience victory through challenges, trials, and struggles.
It’s your turn to run your race, the baton is being passed to you! You have to show up to your own race and run in your lane – no one else will do it better than you!
Activity:
Turn some worship music on, create an intimate space how you want and where you are the most comfortable to open up and talk inwardly or outwardly to God. It’s your turn to get to know Him in an intimate and deeper way and let Him be the author and finisher of your faith. You can pray and talk to God anytime, but it’s important to have a “you and God” space where you’re comfortable. As much as you can remember, even on bad days, remind yourself you are created and valued by God the Father.
Prayer Challenge:
Heavenly Father, I want to get to know You better and I want to change my actions and thinking. I want You to know me and teach me Your ways. I want to discover the real You – the person You created me to be.
Scriptures:
James 4:8 NASB 8 Come close to God and He will come close to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
